Tia Mowry Speaks on Discrimination on “Sister Sister”

The beloved childhood actress spoke out via her You tube series “Tia Mowry’s

Quick Fix” and revealed that she and her sibling and twin sister Tamera Mowry were treated “differently” during their childhood sitcom “Sister Sister” because of their “skin color”. She also shared that they were paid substantially less than white counterparts in comparable roles. Mowry stated that it was “always so hard for my sister and I to get what we felt we deserved”. She also went on to express how they always felt “out of place” and that her sisters natural hair was once called a “distraction” on the job. However this racism and “adversity” was credited for strengthening Mowry-Hardrict as a person and created a “hard worker” catapulting her career to where it is “today”.
