Unbeknownst to many Covid-19 isn’t the only global pandemic but racism against black people are as well. Boris Kodjoe recently detailed some of his experiences as a black child growing up in Freiburg, Germany. Kodjoe was born to a German mother and Ghanaian father and shared how he was regularly “bullied and called names” while he and his younger brother were “walking to school”.
The Greys Anatomy actor and former Virginia Commonwealth University student whom has appeared in a variety of movies went on to say being in the U.S you have the luxury of being part of a “subculture that’s represented by “millions of people so you don’t feel alone” but he was a part of a “true minority” in Germany.
The actor is the husband of actress Nicole Ari Parker and they share two children from their now 15 year union.
