R&B nostalgia fans will have to wait until 2021 for the latest VERZUZ battle which has been postponed following Ashanti’s Covid-19 diagnoses. The songstress was scheduled to square up with Keyshia Cole but ended up making the following statement via Instagram saying “Hey y’all I can’t believe I’m saying this but I tested positive for Covid-19. I’m ok and not in pain. I’m actually down to do the VERZUZ from my house….we’re trying to figure it all out!!!” An official announcement was made shortly thereafter which included the streaming companies decision to reschedule the musical match until January 9th.
