Lil Wayne’s Sentencing Rescheduled For March

Rapper Lil Wayne found himself in legal trouble last December when a firearm was found on his private jet alongside a cocktail of paraphernalia. Wayne is prohibited from carrying a gun due to his convicted felon status. His lawyers originally requested a speedy trial but has retracted that notion resulting in the rappers January sentencing date being reset to March 3. Lil Wayne’s current charges carries a maximum sentence of ten years but his admission of guilt makes him eligible to receive as little as time served. Despite impending legal issues the “How To Love” rapper showed disdain about his GRAMMY invitation snub earlier this month saying “As an artist, when I see da Grammys coming up & I’m not involved nor invited; I wonder, Is it me, my musik or just another technicality? I look around w respect & wonder competitively, Am I not worthy?! Then I look around & see five Grammy’s looking back at me & I go to the studio.” Do you think non violent felons gun rights should be restored to them after they finish paying their “debt” to society?
