Chicagoans Ordered Back At Home Starting Monday

The Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot has issued a new stay at home-advisory beginning Monday as a result of the distinct rise in Covid-19 cases in the city.

Despite the medically advanced hospitals Chicago has still found the city is overwhelmed by the rapid rate the virus has spread at. Lightfoot has urged the cancellation of “normal Thanksgiving plans” for it’s citizens as a new measure to namely “Protect Chicago”. According to ABC 7 Chicago is averaging 1,900 new cases per day. Under the new order residents are asked to continue practicing social distancing, cancel any gatherings that extend pass immediate household (6) members, avoid travel etc. In addition social events are being limited to 10 people including weddings, funerals and any applicable meeting space.
