Shawn Corey Carter professionally known as Jay Z was born in New York City on December 4, 1969. The all around multidimensional business man’s resume includes rapper, record executive, songwriter, record producer and much more. His list of accolades include 3 American Music Awards, 6 Billboard awards and 22 Grammy wins. Jay Z is the picture of the “American dream” working his way to the top despite humble beginnings and overcoming every systemic obstacle that has faced him as a Black man in America. Jay Z is the husband of the global artist Beyonce and they share three living children from their more than ten year union. His philanthropy has been just as strong as his hustle from his “Shawn Carter Foundation” which has a mission to “help individuals facing socio-economic hardships further their education” or million dollar donation to aid with Covid-19 relief.
