The Brooklyn rapper Rowdy Rebel has been released from prison after being locked up since 2016 following guilty pleas which included one count of weapons possession and one count of third degree conspiracy. He’s scheduled to be under community supervision until December 15, 2025 maximum. Rowdy Rebel arrived to stardom as a Bobby Shmurda GS9 collective. A group that proved overwhelmingly successful with the release of “Hot N***a” and “Shmoney Dance.” Both rappers would eventually ink a deal with Epic Records and go on to release their “Computers” collaboration. Shmurda is expected to be released next December.
