CDC Cautions Against Thanksgiving Traveling & Meetups

On Thursday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned Americans against traveling for Thanksgiving. One million new covid-19 cases were recorded in the U.S. last week shattering prior records within that same time frame. Many new restrictions are subsequently taking effect and the CDC is informing Americans that the “the safest place to celebrate” is with “the people in your household.” They also suggest that people who plan to travel despite the pandemic continue to implement all social distancing guidelines which include but aren’t limited to wearing a mask “with two or more layers”, staying six feet apart from others especially the medically vulnerable and frequently washing your hands.
